Welcome to Saving Wild Horses. We would like to take a minute to introduce you to our growing family. I'll begin with myself Michael Derrick the founder of the organization. I have been involved with horses for nearly 20 years now. I have had a profound love for them ever since I was 5 years old but didn't actually start working with them till I was 13. My training mainly was in the Western discipline but I soon discovered the need for training in English hunt seat and jumping. After devoting several years to my education, family and our business we have decided to give back to others, namely wild horses and those in need of hope.

Throughout our site you will see and learn a lot about the wild horse and our deep desire to protect and maintain the breed. Let me not forget about my partner, my wife Jen. Although Jen hasn't had the experience I have had with horses she has a commitment to learning and a vast love for animals. Her sweet spirit is being passed on to our son Caleb who at 5 years of age has shown a great love towards horses. We hope you will develop a passion for the wild horse and someday come and visit us at our growing farm.
