The McCullough Peaks Herd
Youth Program

Beside loving horses, we love children and believe strongly in giving back to the communities that surround them. They have developed an educational program to help our youth to appreciate the light of the Wild Horse. Michael's educational background as a teacher and school administrator has prepared him to work with children of varied ages. The main goal is to help young people experience the kindness and generosity of the Wild horse.

Our youth program is one of the most unique children's programs available. On a weekly basis we bring disadvantaged youth into our facility to help them learn the value of hard work and appreciate God's creation. Each child is taken through courses on equine safety, barn management, care and maintenance of the animals, and character training. Often times these children have no one who takes an interest in them, nor takes the time to show them the importance of living a life of character. Once the children have been certified in these areas now they begin learning to ride, working with the most easy going of our mustangs.

These children have the ability to take our courses on a weekly/monthly basis or during summer vacation Bible school. Our summer VBS will be quite fun, children will start off the day doing barn activities while learning basic horsemanship which will progress to lunch then to free time. After lunch the children get to go to the playground where they play on our modern jungle gym, and a sand box. These children will also be taught Biblical values and principles utilizing the horses as real life examples.

Our vacation Bible school is open to the general public and will be hosted during our Revival Weekend that takes place yearly in the month of July. We invite everyone to register online for this exciting event.
